I’ve been praying with her, meditating with her, working with her to help me, and to help me bring her gifts of healing and spiritual awakening to others.

Not that I haven’t always ALSO been a loving, giving, well-meaning, of service, helpful, insightful, high-functioning, achieving, loyal person. But there was that other aspect that rendered me… challenging. A wounded animal is sometimes a little rough around the edges, for sure.

There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: Eat, drink and be merry, one of the many phrases from the bible quoted by Shakespeare, but if taken out of context can so easily be misleading. In Jesus’ parable there must have been an exceptional harvest, possibly several of them. Much grain to store and goods too. Who wouldn’t want to make sure their property would be safe from damage or rot. But is that part of God’s plan for us?So I commend the enjoyment of life, because there is nothing better for a person under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany them in their toil all the days of the life God has given them under the sun.”
