If my parents’ relationship was a representation of love, then I wanted no part of it.
Lizzie. She’s not too prominent in this book (and I’ll admit I forgot her name a few times😬🫣) but the few times she comes out were memorable. I mean, she calls out Gibsie and his manwhoring ways 💅 go Lizzie 🤡 and omfg Johnny is the best hero i’ve read in a loooong time. he’s the perfect balance of sweet and alpha/protective/possessive type of hero. even though his pushing away from the heroine and implicitly leading her on frustrated me to no end, i’m still really glad that he was the one doing most of the chase. he may say to her he’s not interested but i mean, actions speak louder than words right?Courage Of A Highlander (Lairds of Dunkeld Series) (A Medieval Scottish Romance Story) by Emilia Ferguson The pace was just right, the story flowed effortlessly and even if it is not a Pullitzer and is filled to the brim with clichés it worked brilliantly! I loved that story. I even read till the wee hours to finish because I really really really could not stand the suspense anymore. It was just “it” for me.

There were so many times he had me howling bc of his one liners 😭 he’s iconic, it’s true. THE BANTER between Joey and Aoife was everything. I loved their friendship, I loved the little games they played (their one word game 🥰), I loved how he keeps calling her “nice legs”, I loved how Aoife keeps pushing Joey into a friendship and later into a relationship with her. Girl knows what she is doing. 💅
